Sometimes, fear gets in the way of being creative.
Sometimes...no ideas, no magnificent and spectacular genius moments seem to want to bubble up from that dull grey mind filled with bills to pay, work to attend to, children to look after (or elderly parents to take care of!)
So what can we do when we really need to produce something?
I've faced the blank page and the utterly blank mind.
It's frustrating.
Resting and diverting the mind to other less significant things can help - like in episodes of "House" the brilliant Dr House would give his staff something other than the real problem to think about knowing full well that the subconscious mind, given time, would come up with the solution when not pressed but in its own good time.
